How PVPium ranks PvP IVs

For CP-capped leagues, PVPium searches valid IV and level combinations, then compares the resulting stat product. A high stat product usually means the Pokémon has more total battle bulk and can fit better under a 500, 1500, or 2500 CP limit.

The best IV spread is not always 15/15/15. Many Great League and Ultra League Pokémon prefer lower Attack IV because Attack raises CP faster than Defense or HP. Lower Attack can let the Pokémon reach a higher level while staying under the league cap.

What to check before building

• Compare the selected spread against the Top 250 rankings for that Pokémon.
• Check the actual CP and level so you know the Stardust and Candy investment.
• Review effective Attack, Defense, and HP when you care about CMP or bulkpoints.
• Use the IV floor setting for raids, eggs, trades, research, lucky Pokémon, or wild catches.

When rank is not everything

A rank 1 spread is useful, but matchups can still depend on move timing, shields, energy, breakpoints, CMP, and team role. Sometimes a slightly higher Attack spread is better for winning Charge Move Priority or reaching a specific damage breakpoint.

Use the rank checker as the first filter, then compare important matchups with the CMP Checker, Battle Simulator, Matrix Battle, and Team Builder before committing rare Candy XL or Elite TMs.
